Island has raised $250 million in a Series E funding round at a $4.8 billion valuation. The Series E was led by Coatue and included existing investors. Island's investors include Sequoia Capital, Insight Partners, Stripes, Georgian, Cyberstarts, and Prysm Capital. In total, Island has raised $730 million to date.
Island, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, United States, was founded in 2020 by Dan Amiga and Michael Fey. In 2022, the company joined the unicorn club.
