Grammarly is a leading AI-powered writing assistant that helps millions of users communicate clearly and effectively. The platform offers advanced grammar checking, tone detection, plagiarism scanning, and generative text suggestions across web, desktop, and mobile applications. Additional features like citation generation, brand tone management, and style guides support consistent and professional communication for individuals and teams.
Grammarly has announced the acquisition of email client Superhuman in a push to build out its AI for its productivity suite. The acquisition will integrate over 100 Superhuman employees into Grammarly, including CEO Rahul Vohra. Both companies aim to embed Grammarly’s AI agents into Superhuman’s platform to streamline user workflows and expand into related productivity areas like calendars and task management.
Grammarly, headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States, was founded in 2009 by Alex Shevchenko, Dmytro Lider, and Max Lytvyn. In 2019, the company joined the unicorn club. “With Superhuman, we can deliver that future to millions more professionals while giving our existing users another surface for agent collaboration that simply doesn’t exist anywhere else. Email isn’t just another app; it’s where professionals spend significant portions of their day, and it’s the perfect staging ground for orchestrating multiple AI agents simultaneously,” said Shishir Mehrotra, CEO of Grammarly.
