Humanity Protocol is a biometric blockchain company specializing in digital identity verification. Its core offering, the Proof of Humanity (PoH) consensus mechanism, uses advanced palm recognition technology to verify that online accounts belong to real individuals, mitigating risks like bots, fake accounts, and fraud. By linking a user’s palm scan to their digital identity on-chain, the protocol ensures genuine human participation while granting users control over their data. With its secure and user-centric approach, Humanity Protocol is emerging as a leader in the digital identity space. As online interactions evolve, the company's innovations are set to play a crucial role in shaping the future of decentralized identity verification.
Humanity Protocol has raised $20 million in a new funding round, increasing its valuation to $1.1 billion. The round was co-led by Pantera Capital and Jump Crypto. Humanity Protocol intends to use the new capital to speed up the development of its Proof of Humanity consensus mechanism and integrate it into major Web3 platforms.
Humanity Protocol, Hong Kong, Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong, was founded in 2023 by Terence Kwok. Humanity Protocol operates in markets such as digital identity verification, financial services, social networks, and e-commerce, where secure and verifiable user authentication is essential. "The protocol allows people to prove they are human without revealing personal details. This helps solve problems like bots, fake accounts and online fraud," said Terence Kwok. "I'm excited to see the new innovations that will be better supported under this administration. A pro-business environment could accelerate the development of blockchain-based solutions and attract investment."
